Birthing Again

Every birth experience is a unique one, each a valuable life lesson that we gain.

This full-day workshop is a refresher course on labour and birth for women who have birthed before. But going beyond just information dissemination, the course offers activities to help couples gain a better understanding of the birth process, debrief their earlier birth experiences, develop their personal insights into birth and prepare better for the birth ahead and beyond.

There will be a good balance of opportunities for private reflection between you and your partner as well as activities that facilitate discussion. Couples can expect to come away empowered and better informed about their options for birth and breastfeeding, equipped with practical self-help tools for problem solving and decision making during labour, birth, breastfeeding and parenting.

Couples can expect their learning journey to take place via a wide range of activities – videos, short lectures, discussions, exercises and more. Class sizes will be kept small to facilitate sharing and interaction. The class is best suited for mothers who are at least 24 weeks pregnant.
